"Old School Cat Bike" |
One evening while watching American Chopper, Brandon made the statement, I
could do something like that and do it better. His little brother bet that he
couldn't do it. After a long discussion, Brandon stomped out of the house and
headed for the barn and immediately started bending and cutting steel. Six
months later the first bike known as the "Old School Cat" bike was completed and
ready for it's debut in the Christmas parade in Okeechobee. After a night of oohs and aahs it was clear Brandon had a special talent.

A couple of weeks went by and Brandon was asked to enter a national mini bike
build off that would ultimately end up in Laughlin Nevada for the final 5
entries to compete. There were 125 entries and by the dead line only 25 were
left. Then Brandon got the call, he was asked if you wanted to compete in
Laughlin, he had made it. He didn't finish first with his first bike, but he
knew that building bikes and working on them was definitely in his future. While
in Laughlin he met Joe Martin, which at the time was his favorite bike builder.
While Brandon and Joe were looking at the bike that Brandon had built, Brandon
asked Joe if he could build a bike in tribute to him. This bike became known as
the "Tribute Bike. |

"Silver Bullet" |
As he was leaving Joe's booth, Russ Mitchell of Exile Cycles said what about
building a bike in tribute to me too. This bike became known as the silver
bullet. |
A week after Brandon was invited to compete again in another national mini-bike
build off in Louisville, Kentucky, where Brandon entered both the tribute bike
and the silver bullet. The Tribute took 1st place and the silver bullet tied for
3rd place. From Louisville, home Brandon knew that building custom bikes and
working on bikes was his destiny.
He decided to take his tribute to one of the
most prestigious bike shows in the
nation. It was time to head to Daytona, to really see is he could compete
against the nations best bike builders. So in March 2006 we headed to Daytona
Bike Week to complete in the Boardwalk and the Rats Hole. There Brandon placed
first and third. Brandon went back to Daytona in 2007 with a new bike call the
Beef O Brady Bike and placed first at both competitions.
